Sheets of card

I've been after some card (think cornflakes box) for making templates for making aluminium panneling,
Struggle isn't even close I'm after Big sheets as in 1500 by 500 minimum and have had no joy at all!
Years ago I knew of half a dozen ferms I could go to but not now it seems!

manila card roll or manila pattern card, google will get you a few sources

Try phoning your local bearing supplier and asking if they stock large sheets of gasket paper, one supplier (City Bearings) in Sheffield has that sort of size paper generally in stock, in varying thicknesses.

How about heavy duty lining paper from a decorators supplier? Thats reasonably thick gear.

Try a local Asian cash and carry. Pallets of boxed foodstuffs often have cardboard "slips" on them between layers. Although I do not collect the cardboard ones I do collect the plastic ones, which I have recently been using as roofing sheets for my beehives, our chicken coup and my out-door commercial rabbit hutches & pens.

When drawing templates I use rolls of plotter paper on my manual AO drawing board and then glue the drawing down with wall paper paste on 3mm birch plywood or Foamex which I buy from my local sign makers.

As far as I am aware plotter paper comes in 3 sizes: A2 610mm/24" A1 841mm/33" or AO 914mm/36" and the rolls start from about 50 metres long and go upwards................. I normally buy a pack of 3 X 200 metre long rolls for about £20.00 free P&P in November and donate 2 X 200 metres rolls (one each) to two local special needs children's charities and keeping the third roll for my usage ............. the two local special needs groups love the plotter paper as they can do Christmas drawings as big as the room!

It must be available, Our Platers/boilermakers used to get it in big rolls for making templates etc.

Anywhere local work with lots of MFC or MDF in big quantities as when the packs come in they have a 8x4 sheet of cardboard to cover the top and come down the long side by about 200mm.

costco give it away ...say 4foot squares, its from the drinks packets , just like cornflakes box thickness, just ask a worker if you can take some

All our stainless and alu sheet comes from Aalco at work, and it always has a good bit of card on top, try a sheet suppliers!
