yes i must admit there is never much of a problem in Crawley. To be honest there is never a problem getting steel but you need to buy it in some form of quantity for the big boys to be interested. Lucky enough for any DIY ers in crawley or the surrounding area there is a small local supplier that delivers

I use Metal Supermarkets in Glasgow. Have a look to see if you have a MS locally; they are set up to supply smal users, a bit more expensive but very flexible. They will also cut and trim plates to size. They are worth looking out for.

Yes, it looks like Manchester is nearest you. They are worth a look; ironically I discovered then in California when I can back with 2 meters of 2.5 inch 6 mm wall pipe; got a funny loook from British Air, can't imagine why!![ and no excess baggage charge!!]

Just in case people are suspicious, I have no affiliation etc etc; just find them useful as they deal with small quantities for DIY projects.
