Shed Felt

Can anyone recommend a quality long lasting shed felt? Only want to nail it on to replace current stuff which has split along the edges.

When I worked for a builders merchants, we had a woman come in & say “ is this where I get felt?” There really isn’t an answer you can give to that one.

how much you after and how long lasting you want it. plus i have about 100kg of galv clout nails so dont buy any

Wicks do a good range. I have used on my shed and it lasted very well.

I have seen Rose heavy duty felt advertised to last 25 years, but that maybe a little optimistic!
15 x 1m would do, the roof dimensions are 410 x 223 cm.

How rough is the felts surface each side of the split???

again I'd be using metal sheet....last almost for ever and def no leaks....
roofman will know....decent felt will prob cost 1/2 of the tim ....

Have you considered EPDM rubber membrane?

id rather use torch on felt than nail on felt and yes you can use a blow lamp with it

I went to a local supplier .
They had a couple of rolls with the grit missing in a 3 inch band down the middle
Tenner a roll was the asking price .
It needed a warm day to be able to use it .

Yes considering it, but need to do a bit more delving
