I am currently digging a ditch to fit the rainwater pipes, and seeing as it’s going the same way as where the house DB is, I thought I would throw in the armoured cable, at the same time
The run is under 25m long in total, it will run to the shed DB and then to the garage DB
Currently electric to the garage is running off 2.5mm square twin and earth, grey cable protected by that old black water pipe, oh and it also had a rebar earth rod connected, but I removed that to build the shed,
The house fuse is 60a, and there are two SWR cables coming in, and a earth connection on the side,
I have some 2 core 16mm square cable long enough, and I was planning on using the steel armour as the earth exporting the earth from the house, is that ok?
There are no bonding to do in the shed, there is water in the shed, but it’s all on plastic,
I do have some separate 10mm square earth cable, that I could run in the conduit that the TV and cat5 will be in, is it worth putting that in, or is it a waste of cable?
It will all be conneted by an electrician, probably in the autumn.
