SGS 20 ltr charge pressure.

Hi guys,

I've just connected up my first bottle of pure Argon to my recently acquired, yet still unused, R Tech TIG (from @Morrisman ). It's a 20 ltr bottle from SGS and I was expecting 230 bar, but it's only 185. I've checked the invoice but there's nothing on it about initial charge pressure. Anyone know if this is normal?

My argon co2 are usually 200 bar

SGS do say on their site that they have a 200 bar 'intended' fill pressure, not sure what their tolerance is around that number.

Hobbyweld offer 230bar fill.

I can’t remember actually, it’s been several years since I got my bottle. It’s the only one Ive had for the tig, it never got used much.

Normally filled to 200 bar but there's a reason they can vary.
I think @Agautosport explained it before?
