Setting up DC TIG

I'm planning to set up for DC TIG from my Thermalarc scratch 175 se and CEA Rainbow HF DC i need to put together an order for consumables, can anyone give me a list of what I need, i haven't done any TIG for a decade.

I've got a WP17v torch, a WP26 and a WP20.

I will mostly be using it for thin sheet down to 1 mm.

Are these useable?
I will probably be on a SGS gas cylinder.

You'll need to use the 17 torch since it has a valve as the thermal arc doesn't have an internal one and not sure on the rainbow, I don't know the history on that reg but it doesn't look too good so wouldn't use it unless you know it's just cosmetic wear.

Doing thin go with 1.6mm Tungsten and if dc only then either grey/blue Tungsten is the most popular though ultimately your choice.

I'd swap the wp17v for a wp17F flex head, and rather than using a valve, fit an external solenoid either with a torch button or foot switch, assuming the machine only does scratch start?

Regulators can go bad but try it, when mine went, it would cut the gas intermittently and make noises. New ones are only £20 from WECS.

What shrouds will I need?

2.4 tungstens will be my limit.

If your only doing low current stuff then a wp9flex head will fit on a wp17 cable and the consumables are a decent amount smaller, but not compatable with wp17 stuff.
