Self etch, Epoxy & High Build

Hi, been reading up on my surface preparation post welding repairs on panels and underside.
However, some confusion still remains regarding primers....

As in the tutorials etc which are extremely helpful for a novice like me, I'm planning on using self etch, high build. But underneath should I use self etch then epoxy then anti stone?

There is no benefit in putting epoxy on top of self etch.

Epoxy is intended to go straight onto the bare metal as is etch primer. Epoxy is the more modern solution and is unlikely to cause any reaction in later coats. It is cheaper to use etch primer but use epoxy if you are going to keep it.

Also If you get rub through and have to put some of your first primer over it there is more chance in getting problems where to overlaps the high build if you are using etch primer. I had such problems before switching to epoxy.

use epoxy, much better than etch imo for the reasons above.
