Second hand 300-400 Mig

Thinking to get a mig at some stage in the future, for fab work, mostly 10-30mm mild steel work about the farm.

I'm happy to go second hand and have three phase so gives me a few more options.

I see a few second hand millers for sale, blu-pak 35 and migblu 300. What are these machines like?

Any other suggestions for well proven welders?

Used a mig once, coming from stick welding.

It won't be today or tomorrow but it's good to know when looking around what's good and what should be avoided.

You could get a good Lincoln unit for that price. I got an almost new Powertec 360 for not much more and it is a belting set

Would you rate the lincoln over the miller? I see there is 3 lincoln powertec 420 advertised locally.

Not much to separate them really, both big Yank firms that put out quality kit. Who is best locally for spares/service?

Possibly lincoln in this case.

Would a synergy machine be worth a look?
