Season of condensation is coming !

I changed the roof of my concrete panel garage to steel corrugated sheets many years ago. Mistake as they constantly drip condensation even though not heated and plenty of ventilation (facias missing ). Plan is to completley change roof design from flat to apex and at same time insulate to stop any further condesation problems. However this is a roundtuit so I need to temporary sort out the dripping over the coming autumn, winter and spring together with facias so I can have somewhere to "play" - at moment there is so much clutter I can barely get though the door.

What is cheap and cheerful that can be quickly attached to the steel roof that will stop condensation ? Not bothered about insulation. Would Correx or similar twin wall sheet with ends tapes up work ?

Asbestos - used to be one of the uses for protecting steelwork. The H&S mob would probably object nowadays.

You can get anti-condensation paints that contain glass micro-beads which at least reduce the formation of condensation or some that absorb the water rather than letting it drip

warms up in there during the day so warm air picks up water... then as it cools down outside the roof cools first... air touching the roof cools and can;t hold as much water anymore so dumps it on roof sheets on and on every day/night/ hot/cold spell

I'm trying to empty my future corrugated iron workshop, it's full of firewood. I was this thinking a stonewall, lots of insulation and replace the roof with slate, honestly. Corrugated iron, freezing in winter, roasting in summer. Just a question of money. Damn, I haven't got any......

There are no facia boards so a blinking big gap, say 6" deep, all around the edges of the roof yet it still ends up covered in condensation

A guy i know has a brick built work space and put a platic coated metal sheet roof on and after 2 years he got niffed with the hot summer freezing damp winter problems, As he was using the workshop he could not just removed the roof so he cut lots of off cuts on kingspan to fit the shapes in the roof and glued them in with a PU glue, This left the roof pretty flat so he then just put 50mm sheets over it all, It was quit a change, He did this in warm weather mostly with damages sheets and off cuts, The PU glue was the stuff that looks like varnish not sure of the brand.

Or pu adhesive in silicone tubes. £4 each. Sticks to most stuff including weT surfaces

I did exactly the same with my garage, l have stapled some of the eBay aluminium foil bubble wrap to the underside of the rafters and joy of joys no more drips!

OT. I've decided to extend my carport and enclose a corner as a store. If I use twin wall polycarbonate for the roof will it suffer from condensation ?

if its open edge then yes i suspect it would do if its closed and sealed edge then it shouldnt do

As a cheap and cheerful fix how about stapling some fabric to the underside of the roof, it won't stop the condensation forming but any drips should land on the fabric, be absorbed and then evaporate with the good airflow that you have.
You might have issues with mould forming over time but you can either replace it or sort the roof out permanently.

you shouldn't have any insulation at all if the roof is insulated

you get condensation when the roof is colder than the air next to it
