Sealing spot weld seams

Hi,

There is a section on the how-tos about sealing spot welds. All the seams are sealed on the bulk head of my landy already so I would like to seal the replacements ones too.

I bought some Tiger Seal. Will it do the job? Will it paint OK? It it says it is a PU adhesive sealant...

I have used tiger seal for years if they made the titanic out of it then it would have never sunk it is an automotive version of gripfill sicoflex is the nearest to it or windscreen bond

Yep Tigerseal great stuff even used it to hold some steel oil drain troughs in a evo 10 comp, ally, straight cut dog gear box, coz with the vibrations the troughs where breaking up, it was last minute rebuild before Rally GB after finding 'silver oil', stripped it after the rally and it was still perfect even with HOT oil pounding it, so left it, the tiger seal anti vibration adaption, then became a mod for the other boxes.

Try your local car spares shop for it, I buy it for a lot less than that advertised in your link. Use it as quickly as you can as it goes not keep once the cartridge is opened.

pu sealer is same stuff cheapest from ebay unless you have a super cheap factors

just make sure its primed first

I've used the pu sealer version and no different from tiger glue. It's brill stuff and will hold anything together
