A job we have coming up; a large radiused canopy. The glass is 15mm thick clear toughened which is hung beneath a radiused pair of tubes. The glass is facetted and has a 5 - 10mm gap between each pane. These need to be clear silcone sealed. Now i'm pretty neat with a silicone gun, but a little concerned that as there is no 'backing' to the joint the silicone is going to sag and probably fall out. Whats the best way of applying? Was thinking about putting in a 'root run', letting it go off, then a hot pass top and bottom
Was also thinking about fixing a strip of plastic beneath the glass to act as a 'shutter', but thats going to be messy.
