Good evening all.
Recently the rotary switch in this machine has become worse. I've cleaned it and that hasn't make much difference. It's becoming increasingly difficult to turn, so I'm going to replace it. What I'm thinking of doing, is to put a separate internal switch on the power line and replace the rotary switch, with a 5 position unit. I will be then able to lift the supply line for the secondary transformer from the main transformer primary and connect it to switched L1. I can't see any problem with doing this but I'm no electrician/ electronics engineer so any opinion on this would be gratefully received. The first image is of the factory wiring diagram and the second a diagram of the proposed change.
