Hello everyone,
I've been finding it difficult to get a good weld at low power settings and think I have found the root of the problem....
It seems that my wire feed stays pretty constant no matter what I have dialed up. Setting 10 produces a fraction more wire than setting 0.
Does anyone have any idea what would cause this?
Could my potentiometer be clogged and need a clean? I suppose if it has shorted then it would give a high feed speed...
Can anyone give me an idea as to what the max and min feed speeds should be in cm/s (or any other units.) I'm only an occasional welder and can't remember the last time I tested the extremes of my wire-feed speed settings - so have forgotten what's normal.
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the control pcb - before I dive in?
Many thanks in advance,
Argee
