hey all,
new on here, using mig for car bodywork and chassis repairs Inc beams etc
I'm currently using a sip 150 240v mig, it's ok but has the usual known wire feed issues and is on the original torch basic but works to a point. running on max it has a very short duty cycle so when welding 6mm plus for beam end plates it cuts out after about 20cm total weld length.
I've been offered a sealey 3500
I can't remember the exact model but it def said 3500 after it. it's 3phase and 350 amp.
over kill at the top power but means I won't be stressing it.
it's been fairly well used but works great
is it worth the punt for £200?
the only one I've found is advertised at 2.5k
am I getting a silly bargain here?
how reliable are they? any known issues?
all info gratefully received!
