Hi All.
Looking for some settings for my sealey mightymig 190. Only settings are for 0.6 wire and i am running 0.8 wire. Just looking for a starting point to set mig. Just bought this and its totaly diffrent to my old mig.
hi Paul, i also have the MightyMig 190. Firstly, despite what plenty of people on this Forum will say about Sealey welders, it is a fantastic welder and excellent value - in my opinion far better than the middle of the road Clarke machines!
I us 0.8 wire and tend to use settings 3 - 6 on the power dial and use between 5 -9 for the wire speed dial. obviously the thicker the guage of metal the higher power and wire speed settings.
Ideally the best thing for you to do is to have a play about with the settings using 0.8 wire on different thickness of metal to find the best settings for your style of welding.
thanks Gav
Been playing with the mig and found out a few setting that work for me. The setting you gave are about the same as ive been using- found 3-5 works well on 25x25x3 box. The sealey is working great. I was concerned about buying one but got it at a price i couldnt refuse
Regards Paul
