hi there i am new to welding ang i have just got a sealey 150 dualmig witch is gas or gasless but i have heard that if i want to use it gasless that i have to swap the earth clamp wire over to the live feed for the main trigger and vise versa . is this correct as i have no manual

Absolutely correct. For gasless the earth is "+" and the torch is "-".
