Hi folks!
I have a Sealey supermig 150/5.
It has an intermittant wire feed problem. Sometimes it will work fine but sometimes when I pull the trigger the machine clicks and the wire feed motor fails to operate.
There doesnt seem to be any pattern to it (I.E. hot machine, thick metal etc.) the fault happens at random.
And up until this fault the machine seemed to work fine (no erratic wire feed etc.)
I removed the wire and released the wire feed mechanism and tried operating it but the motor still failed to motor.
I stripped the lance and operated the switch directly but it didnt seem to help.
When the fault happens I dont get any voltage out the P.C.B. If I put voltage straight to the motor it works fine.
I removed the P.C.B. and resoldered all the connections but it made no difference.
I've tried searching the forum but nothing seems to match my problem.
Am I looking at an new PCB?
Is there anything else I could try first?
Do I need to get a Sealey P.C.B. or can I use one from a similar size machine?
Does anyone know where to get one?
