Things are dead quiet here at the moment.
I recently sent River Island pictures of my fern leaves and had a decent order based on that. Fifteen of them so busy with the plasma cutter.
I do have plans for the cut out leaves as well.
Maybe more to follow.
And a couple of commissions that may come in.
The economy has taken a kicking which slways leads to a quiet spell.

The thing is.... the very, very best customer base to have - is one made up of the well-off (& poor folk don't tend to be in the market for original bespoke sculpture etc).
The well-off are Economy-Proof & Inflation-Proof. Really, a sinking economy is a boon to those with liquid funds, as they can buy cheap & sell when the market is strong etc.
The "pile it high & sell it cheap" modellers are always hit hard in a recession, as their customers are hit hardest too.
Hopefully this means that the market for Chunkolini's works of art, remains buoyant.

The outlines were originally the offcuts. Plan A was to do it in bits and discard them. Then I figured keep them for my garden. The original customer saw them and bought them as well.
Now I have fifteen fern leaves, some at least for my boring wall.
The art scene dries up for a few months during financial crises and picks up again.
Already I have people booking classes.

Funnily enough, I have a commission for leaves. Centre of a pond, two spirals supporting a basket with a spray of leaves (think pinapple) several birds flying out of the top. Just need to give the drawing to the client for approval.
