Hi all, one for the arty types.
I have just been invited to take part in a sculpture competition in Gloucestershire, details below. I visited the place today and the owner gets my vote, it is £10.00 to enter 3 pieces of work and he asks for 10% commission on any sales which is very reasonable.
Below is the message he sent to me, the weird spacing is from his end.
He has asked if people are interested can they get in touch asap.

Showborough House Affordable Garden Art Exhibition and Competition 2009
The 2009 Showborough House Affordable Garden Art Exhibition will be open from
9th April until 7th June. It is run to encourage garden art and is aimed
primarily at student and emerging sculptors, although more established
sculptors are welcome to take part. It aims to cover costs rather than to m
ake
a profit.
The Affordable Garden Art Competition is open to anyone and has three class
es:
Exhibits for sale at up to £1250 (prize £250)
Exhibits for sale at up to £2500 (prize £500)
Exhibits made by a student graduating in 2008 or later (prize depending
on
numbers).
The competition will be judged before the exhibition opens.
There is an additional prize for the exhibit voted the most popular by
visitors.
Conditions for entry to the competition and exhibition are:
Exhibits may be in any medium suitable for outdoors.
An exhibit may be entered in the exhibition only, even if over the price
threshold for the competition, subject to space.
Entry fee is £10, which entitles the exhibitor to show at least three
exhibits
(and more if space permits). An exhibit may be made up of more than one pie
ce
if it forms one display. Students need not pay an entry fee.
Exhibits must be delivered to Showborough prior to opening at an agreed
date
and must remain until the closing date.
Exhibits must not be available for sale elsewhere at a lower price.
Commission on sales will be 10%. Students are exempt.
Insurance for third party liability, damage and loss will be provided.
Entries close when sufficient have been accepted.
