On Modern paint it is ok.Is the "No-nonsense" paint stripper as sold by Screwfix any use at all does anyone know ?
Not sure about Screwfix but the paint panther stuff from Toolstation is ok, o did my drill and milling machine with it, there were a few layers on the mill but it got through them after a few applicationsWorks fine for me.
It's cheap and easily available so worth a go.
Slap it on as thick as possible then cover in clingfilm.
Once the paint has started to lift slap some more on any area that have not lifted and eventually you should be able to wipe/wash it all off in one go.
dont bother i put a load on a radiator that had been gloss painted and forgot about it went in the next day and it was still on and hadn't stripped it or even crincled up, its total dross / got the proper stuff and it had it off in 20 minutes and a bit of my skin in seconds .had to spit and rub it off real quickI'll try a small tub of the screwfix stuff first. Its only red oxide primer i have to shift.
For a long time Screwfix did a No Nonsense Red Oxide Primer, which was actually a really good zinc phosphate primer made by a very reputable UK company. Last time I bought some it had come from France and has no rust inhibiting additives .
