jast make an attachment for your trolley jack if the lifting plate is removable

that looks a good bit of kit and gives far more stability than a jack could offer with its wheelbase

Cheaper at rapid tools but you don't get free delivery till you spend £100 so not really better

We just knocked up a simple cradle to fit the floor jack from scrap bits of RHS, angle and whatever was lying around. Important to get the centre of gravity right.
Was a four handed handed job though. I was relegated to driving the jack, numbers 2 & 3 sons to each side guiding springs and mounting nuts into place whilst number 1 son scurried around fitting all the other bolts. So had plenty of young strong backs to lift it onto the jack & cradle in the first place.

It was particularly awkward to fit to the X308 as the LPG pipe passed next to one of the spring pans.

I Got one of the teansmission creadle adaptors for £26. this drops onto the 3 ton jack..

It angles and has adjustable arms and chains to hold the item
