As I get older I enjoy certain aspects of playing with cars and bikes less and less - mainly crawling on the floor. Well, working on the premise that you can’t take it with you I have decided to splash out on a Lift. The big question is which type? I have used 2 post and 4 post lifts before and am aware of their pros and cons. I was wondering if anyone got any experience with these full rise scissor type lifts as it looks like with a small bit of modification they could be used for motorcycles as well.

I have fitted a couple of this type and they are brilliant but I sank one of them into the floor 100mm so that it didnt impede the floor space and when down the floor is still a flat surface to run cars cranes tool boxes or trolley jacks etc over, with no restriction .

How does the vehicle sit on them?
Are they long enough for all four wheels to sit on them?
What about when you need a wheel off. Can the support chassis.
