SBR question - colour?

How do you do a flood coat of half a floor?

The dividing line would need to be a ridge or it needs King Canute.

Ridges are not a problem - or rather they are - hence the need for a screed coat.

Do you need SBR if putting down a liquid dpm?

What I would do whichever way you go is wire brush off the laitance and vac it all up before putting anything on the floor.

The SBR I've used previously has all been a white latexy liquid that turns black when it dries, so if you use the same stuff, it will be quite obvious.

Plain on the left strip and green on the right, the board is already a slightly green colour so it should show up ok on normal wood.

Are you sure thats SBR? Looks more like PVA or similar, which people used to recommend except it disolves if it gets wet - generally a bad idea!

I've never had SBR dry black? It darkens the concrete a bit but.....

Yes it came out the bottle with the SBR label on it.
