Saw for cutting bodywork replacement panels, anyone used multipurpose saw?

Hi

Need to replace some panels and intend to overlap new ones then cut through both new and old panels so I only have a small gap to weld.
Has anyone used the below type of multipurpose saw for this purpose? Or is a recip saw more suited? Any other recommendations for a decent cut? (don't have much space behind some panels, but guess i could cut the blades down) Not sure a angle grinder disc will do a neat enough job. Open to suggestions on best tool for the job (that doesn't break the bank!)

there great for detailed work where nothing else will fit. i have a cordless aldi one and while it does't get lots of use when it does i would be screwed without it.

Not Much Vibration When Used. Would Have Thought Ideal To Use As You Suggested.

I find the 1mm x 115mm cutting discs work well if you are careful and don't rush, also the 1mm x 75mm in an air cutoff tool. I've thought about one of those mutleypurpose saws but I would want to try one first!

To cut steel? If so what blades are you both using? My Bosch 18V kills blades cutting top hat in MF ceilings.

much easier to cut new panel to the size shape you want, draw round it on the original panel then cut to the line, you don't have to worry about panels moving around or marking new panel with clamps

Sorry, MF = Metal Frame ceiling the ceiling equivalent to metal framed partition wall. So plaster board screwed to a thin metal frame, usually hung on angle from the ceiling slab. The top hat is the profile of the metal to which the board is screwed.
Had a particularly difficult job before Christmas when almost every speaker in a hotel bar / restaurant ceiling fell on at least one top hat, though what ticked the 'designer' off was that I still moved some of the to miss the sprinkler barrel. Got a call a week after finishing the job saying that 'my speakers were falling out of the ceiling' fortunately the site manager admitted that said designed had turned up and got the site guys to re cut the ceiling and move them to where he wanted them. I guess they found the fire barrel because they were then moved back to my original positions but not before they had broken off the fittings that held the speakers into the ceiling. To cap it off the day before the bar opened the remote volume controls 'stopped working', funny how they were two meters from where I had installed them (where said designer had indicated he wanted them BTW) into a linen cupboard where they had been 1. Incorrectly wired and 2. Had one of the volume pots ripped from the back of the face plate never to be seen again.
