Satnav -headphone USB link ?

I've been trying to get sense out of the Bluetooth connection between my TomTom Rider 550 satnav, and my Cardo Spirit helmet headset.
Without any glowing success being had.
Working on the basis that wires are generally a solidly effective way of conducting electrickery in its various forms, ought it to be possible to just string the awkward little buggers together via their respective USB ports ?

One option if you still can't get your headset to work via bluetooth is to enable a "hotspot" on your phone and then connect the TomTom to that, and your headset to your phone. But there's no explicit info about whether you can "bridge" the phone's headset to the TomTom.

Might be best asking on a TomTom forum to see if anyone can help get your headset paired? One quick thought: many basic or older bluetooth devices can only pair with one other item at a time - is it possible you've paired the Cardo to something else, and is there a way to "factory reset" it to get it to forget that original pairing?

Basically, it is likely intended not to work other than in a standalone mode.
No great problems with that, as any clue is better than no clue....
Useful to know that it is as it is , however.
