Sat nav…

I’m off to Reno to watch the air races in September.
Driving from San Francisco airport, to Reno then back again.
Seems straightforward enough….but we want to visit other places too.
The rental car doesn’t come with sat nav, we don’t have a smart mobile fone so need a sat nav.
Now I already have a Tom Tom that we bought in Oz back in 2016….think maybe buy a map for it..,,

So any better advice?

Most US hire car places used to rent out sat navs for a few extra bucks did you ask?

It's actually quite a high charge - but maybe stil cheaper than buying new maps etc.

Look for "gps" rather than "sat-nav" on the options

you would be better of buying a smart phone and google maps or even buy tom tom maps for it less hassle as it's just a phone you carry anyway

I agree, just use google maps, thats all I did last time I was over there!
