Santa apologises

Santa would like to put forward a formal apology.

If you have received incorrect gifts, I can only apologise, due to a miscommunication the children at Cavill Towers inadvertently left out half a pint glass of Sambucca to warm him up on a cold and snowy Christmas Eve.

He could have started a serious fire with half a pint of sambucca, you are lucky Cavill Towers are still standing.

I decided to help Santa by drinking 3 bottles of prosecco to my self

on my 4th can of coke to clear my head as I cook Christmas dinner

Obviously the effects of it hadn't kicked in by the time he got to Weardale .

Amongst lots of other goodies he left me 3 bottles of single malt one of which is Penderyn, a gorgeous drop from the Welsh valleys look you boyo, a new auto darkening welding screen complete with flames , and enough novels to keep me out of harm's way for a few months. And as my annual Christmas pressie to myself I 've just signed up for membership of the Founder's Club at Faer Isle Distillery on the Faroe Islands .
