Hi folks
I think i may be biting off more than I can chew. at the moment i have no welder, and no welding experience. I'm looking to weld some flanges into a stainless tank, the flanges are also stainless. I've done a litlte reading around and understand i need to weld on the outside of the tank, but fill the tank with gas to stop oxidation. seems simple enough in theory...
How much experience am i likely to need to be able to manage these welds successfully? Are they something I should farm out to someone, and learn to weld on simpler things, before attempting them? if it makes any difference there are four flanges for screwing an immersion element into, so they are 2.5" across, and four flanges for 15mm ball valves. two of each per tank, two tanks.
Thanks for any advice
