Hi
I plan to take my resto shell back to bare metal, and then protect with epoxy. I don't have a heated booth or enough air for a face mask, so I'm thinking of using Jotun non-iso epoxy, especially as it can be used in cold weather.
Most people seem to be using this stuff underneath the car - I presume it's OK to use topside, on the whole shell? Anyone done this??
Also, I'm concerned about how hard it's going to be to sand flat afterwards, ready for high build primer. I'll be spraying the paint - what else should I do to minimise the the amount of sanding? Thin the paint 10%? Which Jotun is easier to sand - 80 or 87. Does the hardener make any difference? And how long after spraying should I wait before sanding.
Sorry lots of questions
Jim
