Samsung phone loudspeaker problems

My S4 mini is just about to need its second new speaker in less than a year. The phone was brand new and the original speaker lasted about 6 months before going tinny then mute within about 5 hours.
I bought a replacement new on eBay described as genuine Samsung and fitted it, but it seemed quieter and tinny from day 1. Now its even quieter still and I think its a gonner.

Anyone else suffer this?

Yes pretty much. Lots of brake dust, clutch dust. Metal swarf of all descriptions - I was aware of this factor but the speakers appear to be fully encapsulated anyway.

I put my phone in a ziploc plastic bag when grinding etc.
