No doubt some moaning Minnie will pick it too pieces tho![]()
Was funny on the mill restoration I think, when he filed too much off the drive shaft so the bearing blocks rattled like bolts in a biscuit tin!
The expert guy gave a right verbal boot up the backside.
Claire Is certainly worth watching![]()

Don't forget the one with the tank restoration where he ripped out a perfectly good ignition system and bodged a Jaguar ignition system on to it all because it wasn't sparking when he tried cranking the engine. There was a lot of discussion about this in the MVT (Military Vehicle Trust), what actually happened is the "know-it-all" didn't understand the ignition system so he condemned it, IF he'd asked someone who was familiar with it they could have told him what he was doing wrong (just needed to use a jumper cable to boost the power to original ignition circuit whilst cranking the engine)Or Gerry, when he was turning and threading a water pump valve spindle for the Massy Shaw fire boat, the threading tool dug in...'thats a hundred quids worth of bronze ruined'
they should have stopped it out of his wages!

I met that Jerry/Gerry at a Land Rover show, he was meant to building a S111. He spent most of his time talking to the crowds explaining how hard he was working. Sad Fact was, the crew who did the work never got a mention.
That may very well be true but he has only got himself to blame for coming across as first class b*llsh*ter whilst claiming to be an expert. He should have had the balls to either be himself on camera or tell the producer/director where to stick it, rather than selling out just for his 15 minutes of fameJerry is a nice enough bloke in the flesh - his TV persona is far removed from real life.
