Safety Glasses Lens Colour

I'm just about to order some new magnifying safety glasses and was wondering which lens colour is best to wear under a my welding helmet. Are clear lenses the best or would yellow lenses be better?

Unless you're out in sunshine all day, I'd say clear... never wanted anything else in an indoors workplace anyway.

I actually love orange lenses when driving tractors... usually later in summer evenings the sun dips low into your eyes, and orange lenses seem to sort it right out for me.

If you can get them, anti-fog lens coatings are worthwhile.

The yellow ones are great on defining things in shaded areas.

Welding id just go clear. I bought a job lot from amazon so far so good

If it's just for use under the welding helmet it might be worth thinking about adding a cheater lense if the helmet will take one.
That way, the standard safety glasses are so cheap that you could buy a selection of colours to see what suits you best.

Edit, I don't know how much magnifying safety glasses cost, might be cheaper than a cheater.

Thanks. I have a cheater lens already but I want to see which I prefer for welding. The safety glasses will be used be used for other things too.

I have got some blue bolle ones, they don't really make things look blue, they kind of enhance the definition of edges , it's a sort of HD look.
