safe place to store co2/argon bottle at home?

Right, so im finaly making the jump from flux core (bloosy horrible thing)
but my 'workshop' is outdoors, andvi havnt a clue how to go about storing the thing.
i have a small shed, not waterproof at all, and inside the house cant be safe, can it?
where would you store it in this situation?
should i just stick with flux?

Mines just stuck in the shed outside and its not really waterproof……


Think of all the pubs that just leave full bottles outside

Outside is common storage for bottles. Off the deck on a grid if possible to reduce corrosion on bottom of bottle

Ah the shed should be fine then.
got 300meters of 75x75 5mm and 3mm box for £150 so alot of work ahead of me

Use a chain or strap to stop the bottle being able to fall over

In the garage... i have Propane, Butane, Proplyene, Oxygen, Argon and Argosheild light i beleive this is normal behavior for the welder

My argon and argoshield are both in my garage and chained to the wall.

Thanks for all the replies! will have my 14lber on thursday, wasnt allowed to buy the 10 liter as ny first purchase as 'it would last me too long', never mind.

Bit of a cruddy reason to not allow a bigger cylinder! Especially as when you're getting used to it, you'll probably use more than a "normal" amount, during the early days.
I'd have got as big as I could afford, as it's usually a bit cheaper per litre of gas, than going the smaller cylinder route!

Not blaming you, mind!
Sometimes suppliers can be a bit "shouty", and seem to be telling you what you want.
At least they didn't give you the wrong gas, or insist on pure argon etc!

It was because there bottles have to be given back within a year,they have no rental fee,
the 14lber was £50 including the deposit so its not too bad, should still last the 5kg roll i have at the moment right? i still have a 4.5kg flux roll too just incase too.
