safdual 128V

I have just got a 5Kg roll of Safdual 128V, From the sellers listing I got the impression it was just good quality fluxcore, However the the name suggests that extra shielding gas is needed, Does anybody know anything about this wire and it's properties(hints and tips etc) And if it is gas shielded,what results would you get without the additional gas,

According to page 26 of the Oerlikon product guide it is to be used with an 80/20 argon mix.
Not sure what effect running it without gas would have but regardless of what the spec says, it would be worth trying it just to satisfy your curiosity and also so you can tell us for future reference.

Thanks Woz, I'll have to knock up a set of wire rollers for it, The wire is 1.2mm. Was only hoping to use it on thicker stuff, Hope my machine will run it as 200amps is my max,
Bit disappointing really as I was wanting to use it for a couple outside jobs for relatives without having to bother about wind or lugging a bottle with me,
