So I got a stainless flange for a 6 cyl engine and it arrived warped like a banana :S
I don't have any machine shops locally (that are willing) to flatten it for me.
I want to know if there is any good way of flattening it before I even start welding it (and warping it more)
I was thinking bending it back the other way a bit in a press to try equal it out.
Or cutting the ports flanges individually (into 6 pieces instead of 1 big flange) so that the banana warp is less per flange, maybe flattening them individually in the belt sander. (belt sander is too small for whole 6 cyls)
Or getting some sandpaper and glueing it to a flat bar and going to town. (might take a few years)
Or just bolting it down, welding my mani up, and hoping it stays in that shape (doubtful)
