There seems to be several for sale on e-bay quite a bit less than the new price....obviously second hand is open to abuse but what are your experiences with these, are they a bit of a gamble to buy?
Quality kit if I'm not mistaken, and presumably rebuildable with new seals etc, not much to go wrong? I actually have one I bought on eBay connected to a cable crimper, never given it much attention to be honest!
Have looked at them a couple of times and might go that way when building a tipping trailer. I would sooner go go for enerpac used than an unknown make new as enerpac can provide all the seals for old kit if needed and there only down the road from me in Kendal. Deal with them a fair bit at work as we use lots of there kit for mast work and there very helpful
Have a set of cable cutters at work that can cut 3inch cable there 30 years old and have cut tones of big cables. They needed some seals the other week and in 10 days we had them back totally overhauled for £200 ish
