Rusty mini restoration

Gonna be starting welding on my VERY rusty mini any weekend now (once I've sorted a pass from the missus and kids). I have a Wolf 130 gasless welder which I can get by with but its lowest setting is 60 as far as I am aware. As I want to enjoy doing the work I'm worried that 60 amps is gonna blow whats left of the car away!!!

I am mostly interested by the budget welders but would pay more if a fair chunk could be recouped by floggin it on.

gasless mig

You will struggle to weld thin plate with gasless mig the curent needed to burn the wire will melt the parent metal, you need 0.6mm wire with a sheilding gas machine thanks Mike

Yup, thats why I'm here asking the question. I have just been looking at the Clarke Pro 90 on machine mart but its £150 quid. What do you reckon that would be worth 12 months on?

Not a lot! you will probably get 70 to 80 quid have you been on ebay ?

It'll seem like a Rolls Royce in comparison to your Wolf! 25amps minimum current compared to 60 on the Wolf, that's higher than most industrial fabrication sets!

Yeah im watching a few on ebay, but they have loads of time left so not sure what they are going for.

Ah Mr Weldquip, ive read so many posts all of which im sure you're in there somewhere.

Do you sell the clarke 90 pro? Also Ive been on ebay to try and find your shop but could only find the odd bits. Do you have a website?
