Hi folks
My tig arrived but it was not what I paid for, so I now have a miller dynasty 300dx which is 3 phase only. So I need a way of running it off single phase or I will have to sell it. It's a beautiful tig and I used it at a friends on his 3 phase and it lays down a beautiful weld but I don't have 3 phase at home. I've searched the net but all I can find is folks using transformer based machines from 3 phase transformer.
So has anyone seen or used an inverter machine from a 3 phase converter? And if so does it have to be a huge one or is the power need for an inverter significantly less than a transformer based machine?
The tig says it only draws 20 amps running at 300 amps on 3 phase and I won't be using it much past 250.
I've contacted miller to see if I could buy the autolink conversion kit to put inside the tig but they still haven't come back with anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
