Just to update everyone and to remove any confusion about the machines.
I spoke with Tec Arc today, the Smoothing caps are only in the 221 and above machines, this is something to do with the supply inductance, you can't get a high enough inductance on the larger machines to run a smooth arc apparently.
Also, the 221 and up have an industrial contactor, where the smaller models don't, they only have a circuit to deal with the voltage/current.
So I decided to go for the Prof-Mig C221 model, bit extra money (£80 more than the 211), but has everything I should ever need, 12 voltage steps, smoother caps, plenty Amps for anything I need.
Hopefully be here in a couple of weeks as they are built to order and hope it's as good to use as you guys suggest, holding you lot responsible if I can't weld with it

For this point alone about not being able to use 15kg spools I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger on the rtech. I really like my rtech tig machine hence it was in the running but 5kg spools last 5 mins. Can't comment on the tecarc but I have an Rtech 180 mig & I love it to bits. Really nice smooth arc at all settings on mig. Only downside is you cannot fit a 15kg reel inside the machine, max is 5kg.
It stick welds nicely too, will even run 7018 rods.
They also have a 3 year no quibble warranty that you can extend.
