You know if you click on the tracking number, it will give you some information on its journey. That might be instructive to read and to save a copy.

The tracking info says you weren’t in when delivery was attempted and that you collected it from Livingston callers’ office at 16.36 yesterday.
That message is eBay generated, not RM.

I once sent two absolutely identical parcels from my parents house to mine 300 miles away as didn’t have room for them in the car. They were a pair of floorstanding speakers, each one had its own separate identical box. One arrived at mine the next day (beating me home), the second arrived a week later.

I like it when you buy something on evilbay at say 23.45 on a sunday night and minutes later its been dispatched ,oh good,will be here by tuesday say,nope,arrives saturday?????????????????
Considering at work we can lose stuff between stores and bay 6 - which is literally the other side of the fence around stores . . . I remain quite impressed by most couriers.
How we are going to do between main stores and our new additional facility a good few miles away, I don't know . .

I've had the opposite, ordered at 10pm on a Sunday night and delivered 8am the following morning.
I think the record has to go to a seller in Birmingham, I ordered some latex gloves for Mrs Robo late morning and one of their employees dropped them to the house on his way home that evening

Another Classic royal mail that I had forgotten was only last month. We had another employee drop some work equipment which was packed up in a cardboard box back to main depot which they did so and left in the foyer. Royal Mail / Parcelforce then did a delivery to the same foyer, saw our box that had been left in the foyer and took it on themselves to take it with them, sent it back to our satellite depot as our address was somewhere on the box where it came from the previous week and charged us £21 for Not having sufficient (or any!) postage paid on it

I bought a power supply on eBay a few months ago, listing ended late one evening, the next morning there was a knock at the door "Here you go mate". I was so shocked at the speed it took me a few seconds to clock it wasn't even packaged, I must have had my confused face on as he then explained he works nearby.

The postie would probably be used to collecting whatever is left in the usual place for him/her. They wouldn’t have just taken it upon themselves to grab it while they were there unless they were used to making a regular collection from your workplace.

Parcel carefully wrapped and labled with the buyers full name & address in big black writing, marked TO:-
and a return address in the form " FROM; Surname, house name, post code" in small writing on the other side of the parcel.
Posted in the local Sub-Post Office,
Sub Post Mistress fixed "Stamp" next to the TO:- address.
The parcel was delivered to my house the next day ...
"Stamp" not franked.
Took the parcel back to the Sub-Post Office,
Sub-Post Mistress said "Oh no, not another one!"
She put the parcel back into the posting sack and it got to the correct address this time.
