Blimey, well spotted. I searched both Sieburg and Tensilkut and got nothing but company tax returns!Still made:
Tensilkut I
Tensilkut I for cutting flat tensile and other test bars from metals, plastics, fiberglass and other materialswww.tensilkut.com
As you said , a woodist .
Routering metal didn't end well anytime I tried it !
Well spottedFunnily enough this machine seems to have been produced specifically for metal cutting!
I'm very interested in it as a curiosity.
What does it weigh ? doesn't look that big really when scaled with the keys ummmm might be of interest.
That will make a great resto project for someone.
Look at the name of the company who owned it , I doubt they would buy one that was crap. .As you said , a woodist .

Easy. Settle it in the most mature and legally binding manner possible.Hi all,
I picked up this router thing earlier (it's in my workshop in N. Wilts) and now I've packed up laying bricks for today I've had a chance to have a closer look and take some pics (obligatory coffee cup for scale).

The bed stands 11.5" high and is 14" x 18". It weighs about 20kg's at a guess (i.e. less that a bag of cement, but more than a couple of bags of sugar!) and the router motor thingy is free to turn.
Now the not so good bit. The picture below shows quite clearly that the bed is bowed. I don't know enough about them to be able to say if it will straighten but apart from the bow, the surface is pretty good. Oh, and it has one loose leg (missing screws).

So here's the thing, The chap it's been recovered from would rather it went to somebody that would make use of rather than stick it on ebay and sell it to the highest bidder. Equally, he would like to see some recompense. A couple of people have already expressed an interest and I'm not really sure of the best way to do this. But perhaps if you are still interested (aftyer seeing the pics and description) then drop me a PM? If there's only one it's easy, we'll agree a price and it goes. If there are more than one, I really don't want to get involved in the unsavoury process of bidding. Suggestions welcomed, even if it is 'put it in the for sale section' .
Richard.
