Hello everyone,
I am having a whole pig roast for about 100 people in a couple of months at my acreage and have decided to build the Rotisserie myself. I have some experience welding but would still classify myself as a beginner. I will be using Lincoln 225 Amp arc welder for the project.
My question is for the material for the frame. I was thinking 2x2 square tubing, but unsure about what thickness is necessary?
Please note that weight of the rotisserie is not a worry as I live on a large acreage and have equipment to move it around if necessary, but once in place it will probably stay there for good.
The pig and shaft will be up to 200 lbs and the frame will be on either side about 5 feet tall, and be braced accross the top and about 1 foot from the bottom.
Any Ideas?
