Rotary Three Phase couplings

I need to find a rotary coupling (a slip ring coupling) to transmit 63A @ 415V 100% duty cycle with four poles.

Have a job coming up that involves either hiring/making a huge rotary turntable (5m diameter) that can take 20 ton or do the cheaper option and use a 3Ton turntable, mount all the welding equipment and water cooler, control equipment etc on the table and use a long beam to swing the diameter of the part.

I'm putting slip ring and three phase into Google and turning up slip rings made for Ethernet connections.

It will surely be a pretty penny for a coupling but probably cheaper than the hire of a huge positioner

Add a generator to the turntable? Pre wrap the cables so they unwind then wind back up?

We used them by a company called Kraus Elektrotechnik on reelstands for magazine/newspaper printing machinery.

One side had all signals (encoders, resolver signals and inputs /outputs to plc) and the other had the high power connections to the drive motors.

That is a very good point. If you consider the use of the device, how many complete rotations does it actually need in any direction before it can be reversed/reset?

Tower cranes, which you would think could spin around forever, cannot do so, and must 'unwind' after not many revolutions.

We could untangle the cables. But it would be a pain in the butt because we would have to keep restarting the arc. Ideally we want to run continuously

That looks just the ticket however that manufacturer seems to be in china

Is it not easier to find a slip ring for the welding current alone, and run the wire through the centre, same as a line boring/welder? Might need an extra long whip, but only the stop-starts would suffer.

Might be a lot higher amperage, but only one pole, and low voltage. Easier to source something one-off or custom.

be a bit dodgy 440 v live slip riings
ive only seen welder out put carried through slip rings, surely the 440 v would be on the drive side only

If we have welder on terrafirma, but xyz carriage and wire feeder on the table, we then need to have a slip ring for each three control cables, plus a slip ring for water cooler connections, plus a isolated slip ring for positive welder connections.
