Rota roach fault

A few weeks ago was drilling with my rota roach panther drill, switched the magnet on and my phone rang, answeres the phone and it was a breakdown to got o straight away so tools in pick up and away, completely forgetting about the mag drill. It sat with the magnet on for 45 minutes or so, now when you switch the magnet on its holding fine but when you press the button to start drilling it starts as normal but stops as soon as you release the button, I've drilled a fair few holes with ot and it's all working fine but just not latching the drill motor on. Any ideas what to look for, nothing really obvious on the board

Most likely just the switch. It's an all in one latching switch, but they're not very common.
I fixed one for my old boss, and I had to get the switch from across the pond, as nobody in the UK stocked it.

There should be part numbers on it somewhere.

Reading through the manual linked above the light should come on when the magnet is OK, that's not coming on either although the magnet is working.

Did the light work before?

More likely something failed on the circuit board then, causing the main switch not to latch.

Yeah it did, had kind of forgotten about it until I read the manual.
