rose joint suppliers

Im after making up some adjustable lower arms for my car, wishbones in other words does anyone have a contact to buy rose joints from the only good site iv found on the net is http://www.rod-ends.co.uk/?gclid=CNTS2pDMo6kCFUGHDgodUWL9tQ

but seems a little steep for what they are, yes im tight!

Don't know the suppliers around there but Geoff Hauser would have
some. I am not sure where he is since he left the cattery workshop in Rushden, but he's still around there.
Nick Davies probably flogs them, he's Rooster Racing and is at Silverstone.
Andy Robinson will flog them.

Several of the online bearing shops list them. bearing boys, midland bearings VXB bearings, bearing king, one of them..


Rose Bearings, I always got mine from them as they are pretty close to me; They were in Wimbledon, but last time I wanted some I think I found they had opened another place. It was in Chessington in the same road Brabhams used to be in[I know my way around by suppliers/ breakers]. I just looked them up, they come up if you go for rodends.co.uk, rod-ends.co.uk is a different site, I think they are next to where I get my gasket material;-)

Shouldn't be hard with Google to get contact details for any of the above..

Good rod ends weren't cheap, I still have some 3/4" ones that came with a jegs 4 link kit, they are really crap things. The ones from Rose bearings were loads better, but cost about 8 times as much!

If its a road car, then best to forget adjustable lower arms, and also to bear in mind you will need to get rid of all the rubber parts in the front suspension system, if you intend to race the car, and have any chance of setting the geometry up accurately.

McGill do half decent joints fairly cheap if you don't want to spend too much, they can also get higher end joints for specific applications if your buying quite a few (i.e 50/100 depending on what you want).

FWIW, I find rose-jointed adjustable lower arms perfectly acceptable on a road, but it does depend on the design, I've seen some truly dire uses of rose-joints for wishbones that I wouldn't even let near my road car, n'mind fit to it...

I stock rose bearings in varying qualitys, for suspension & steering i would only supply high quality joints, Its also a good idea to buy the seals for them also as road use will wear them very quickly.
Rose joints are not ideal for the road as they can wear quickly and tend to be noisy.
Absolutely nothing wrong with adjustable bottom arms.

graffian, i didnt even think about trying them! my best mate works opposite hauser so il pop in there tommorow.

Engineer, there are on the shelf kits out there for most motors i wanted to make my car fully adjustable to compliment the coilovers as its a waste of investment in them otherwise and yes im very used to a hard riding car as iv owned a lowrider in the past and they crunch along more than any of my others for example my WTCC E30 M3 with full Hartge kit or old grass track mini.
