hi can anyone tell me where your can get the rollers to use on a bandsaw feed table of if there is any companys that make these sort of feed tables??? not got loads of time at moment to make one.
I.v made mine from the rollers in the floors of artic trailers.
There only 60mm long but cut in half and extend to any length
with a piece of 42mm tube.
I made ours - each one is two lengths of channels with some angle between to space them. Box section legs. Drilled a shed load of holes through the webs and set some rollers in between. I think the rollers were butchered off something else. Make sure you get the sort of rollers with bearings in. With ours you can almost push a 14m beam weighing nigh on a tonne with one hand.
If you have a roller table on the outfeed side of the saw, make sure it tips down/away from the saw very slightly - this means the cut opens slightly avoiding trapping the blade.
I need to replace some of the rollers on ours - the end ones are badly worn and there's the odd bent one.
If you can get hold of some industrial conveyor rollers the ends some times have two flats on them.
I made one for a quarry workshop with two lengths of angle ...cut slots with a grinder and dropped the rollers in.
