Rod type

Please can somebody advise me on what rod to use for welds grd-35 8FW
I want to weld plates s275 to beams 203x203 UC 46 (grade 43) I have limited experience but very practical and would appreciate any advice.
I have had a structural engineer do all calculations and this is his specification as above.

E7018 for welding structural steel , deep penetration , 8mm Fillet weld , if you have limited experience I would say be careful what you do , structural steel needs to done properly !

Also it would need to be a new vacuum sealed pack as they absorb water which contaminates the weld with hydrogen.

You have done everything right up to press. Now get a qualified/experienced welder to weld them

I dont recognise the Rod grade given
However, S275 is just about the easiest steel to weld, metallurgically. The 275 refers to the Yield strength and just about any mild steel rod will be stronger than that. So a 6013 would be a possibility as I assume its probably less than 12mm thick.
Personally I would agree with Welderpaul and get a qualified welder to do it
If you are determined to do it yourself I would go for a good quality named 6013 as you are less likely to produce a defective weld with a 6013.
