Anyone have a link to a good, chart for looking up the spec's and uses for TIG Rods. I used to have Sif's website bookmarked but since they have changed it to weldability I cant find it the old one and the new site is Creeeeeeeeee-ap

Yeah, SIFs new site is a bit pants. They used to do hard copies (got mine free at local welding suppliers) with identical info to the old site, might still exist on the old format? If not i can scan and email the relevant bits if you want

Alcotec is probably the most detailed about for aluminium alloys. Data sheets for the individual alloys too with more detail on uses etc. Save the pdfs just in case, before they revamped their site (something to do with esab) there was LOADS more valuable info available, all gone now

Same sort of stuff but for magnesium alloys, again more detailed stuff and common applications for the various alloys on the main site including info on pre and post heats

TWI nickel alloys, there's similar pages for all the other alloy groups. The search function is bit pants, the knowledge section of the SIF site has an index of the various job knowledge for welders pages though as well as couple of pdfs that survived the change but you've probably already found that

Not found anything even approaching the old SIF stuff for copper alloys

I found the old SIF site very easy. It is still out there as I found it one day, but I'm ******ed if I can find it now.

seek and you shall find. Having said that I spent a good hour looking today, with no luck, I blame Google, you can do search in the morning and one later in the day, and come up with two different sets of findings

That link is taking me to the new site. Old site was layed out like the hard copy i.e. click on brazing products and you'd get one page listing all the different alloys, properties, common uses etc. A bit more info but mainly just more user friendly as there was some crossover- some of the copper alloys can be used with TIG and oxy fuel for example

Just been looking through and it seems that they've reduced their product range somewhat- albronze #32 doesn't appear to exist anymore despite their TIG brazing tips including techniques and applications for it for example. Couldn't find silcopper 968 (C9 CuSi3) either

Edit just seen the pdf, they exist on that.
