Robot Vacum Cleaner

Hi all

I was thinking of getting this for the home just for a bit of a laugh and i suppose it would pick up some dust anyone had any experiance with them?? There are a few different models about i think most are similar to the one in the link below, Im Just wondering what they are like before i buy one.

nah wouldnt bother with one of them they dont make the tea do the ironing, shopping, washing and so on like mine does

a mate at work has one, says it's brilliant.

It'll do the cleaning and if its battery runs low, or after it's finished the job, it trundles back to its charger base unit and parks up.

He was telling me a little while ago that when he first got it he'd tear up some paper and scatter it around the room to check if the beastie was doing its job!.

Apparently you can get infra-red units that you put across a door and it'll not cross the beam. Without one it'll do multiple rooms. My colleague lives in an upstairs flat so he has the beam set across the top of the stairs to stop it falling down.
