Ally ones getting rarer round these parts. Plastic seems to be the choice of material now.
Still plenty of metal jobs about, but I did really find these. Not saying I haven't borrowed some in the past though for door panels and dashboards etc!
OH OH OH, please tell, as some scallies have just dumped a sign at the end of my drive and it may come in useful part of my new dashboard :ahem: all in the name of recycling you understand. carbon foot print and all that, your honor.
Anything dumped "at the end of your drive", Armo, is technically yours by default according to an ancient law.
Some signs I have used for dashes I have left the reflective stuff on the inside and only nitromorsed the thin paint on the original back (for use as a front), hope you are still with me.
I`ve welded that stuff with Mig and pureshield............it is lovely. The writing and background colour is indestructable.........flap disc job. I bought mine out of scrapyard.
if taken to court, you must turn up lookin ****** and start with the words what happened wasstth, should get any penelty reduced by ooooh 0.000005%. if not use what one of my buddies did. his entire defence was' im half alcoholic and I NEED MY PILLS.' went down a treat
Im reminded gently of a old bedford CF van I once owned, where a keep left sign was recruited to become part of the passenger footwell after some judicious shaping. I blacked up the repair inside the cab and took it for MOT. The tester called us in, and points to the wheel well while it was on the ramp with this huge grin on his face, "nice use of a keep left sign there"... I'd only put the reflective side outwards and not covered it up
